FAQ

How are pounds and ounces converted?

With the international definitions: 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg and 1 oz = 1/16 lb = 28.349523125 g, calculated exactly in decimal. 16 oz is exactly 1 lb.

Does it know each airline’s weight limit?

No. Allowances depend on the airline, fare and route and they change, so none are built in. Check your carrier’s current rules and enter the limit yourself.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • The total is an estimate that adds up the weights you enter. Weigh your bag on a real scale to be sure.
  • Baggage allowances and excess fees are not included. Enter the limit from your airline’s or carrier’s current rules.
