How to use
- Enter the trip name, first day, last day and the local time zone.
- Enter the date, an optional time, the plan, place and notes, then press "Add plan". You can also use "Add to this day" on each day.
- Reorder plans with the arrow buttons or press "Sort by time". Plans with overlapping times show a warning.
- Copy the itinerary as text, save it as JSON, or export it to your calendar (ICS).
FAQ
Can I add plans that continue past midnight, such as a night bus?
Yes. An end time earlier than the start time means the plan ends the next day (for example 22:30 – 06:10 next day). You are also warned if it overlaps the next morning’s plans.
When is a plan marked as overlapping?
When the time ranges of two plans overlap. A plan without an end time counts as a single moment: it is flagged if it falls inside another plan or starts at the same time as another plan. A plan that starts exactly when another ends does not overlap.
What happens to the times when I export to a calendar?
The times are exported as local times in the trip’s time zone, in RFC 5545 format with TZID and VTIMEZONE. Plans without a time become all-day events.
Where is my data stored?
Only in this browser on this device (IndexedDB); nothing is sent to a server. To use it on another device, save it as JSON and load the file there.
Notes & limitations
- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
- Overlaps are checked with the local times you enter only; a one-hour shift when daylight saving time changes during the trip is not considered.
- One itinerary is saved at a time. Save to JSON to keep several trips.
- Trips can be up to 60 days long with up to 300 plans. Maps and travel times are not calculated.
