FAQ

Does it show the latest exchange rates?

No. This tool has no built-in rates and does not fetch any from the internet. Enter rates you checked yourself; the result names “entered by you” as the source, with the date you entered.

Why can the total differ slightly from a single multiplication?

Each item is rounded to your home currency’s decimal places before the total is added up. Card statements also convert each payment separately, so this is closer to what you actually pay.

Should I enter “1 foreign = ?” or “1 home = ?”

Use whichever matches the rate you have. The tool calculates exactly in the direction you entered and also shows the inverse rate so you can check it.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • Only the exchange rates you enter are used. Real exchanges and card payments can differ because of fees and the date the rate is applied.
  • Results are budget estimates. Check your exchange receipt or card statement for exact amounts.
