How to use

  1. Enter the date, category, amount, currency and a description, then press "Record". The date and currency are kept for the next expense.
  2. Filter by period, category or currency; the totals per currency and per category follow the filter.
  3. If you like, choose a currency to convert to and enter rates you looked up yourself to see an estimated total. You can also export a CSV.

FAQ

Are exchange rates applied automatically?

No. This tool never fetches rates. Totals are kept per currency, and conversion only uses the rates you enter; the result is shown as an estimate.

How many decimal places can I enter?

It follows the browser’s currency data (ISO 4217 minor units): for example yen and dong are whole numbers, US dollars and euros have up to 2 decimal places.

Can the totals have rounding errors?

No. Amounts are calculated as exact decimals (big.js), so there are no floating-point errors. Converted amounts are rounded half up to the target currency’s decimal places.

Where is my data stored?

Only in this browser on this device (IndexedDB); nothing is sent to a server. Use "Delete saved data" to remove it at any time.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • Exchange rates are never fetched. Conversions use the rates you enter and are estimates that can differ from what you actually paid or exchanged.
  • Up to 1,000 expenses. Saved data is only available in this browser on this device.
  • The number of decimal places per currency follows the browser’s currency data.
