  2. Choose how to split: equally, by shares or by percentage, and enter each person's shares or percentage if needed.

FAQ

Who pays the amount that does not divide evenly?

The largest-remainder method gives the leftover units one at a time to the people with the largest fractional parts; ties go to the person listed first. The table marks who received an extra unit.

Can I split in round amounts?

Yes. Choose a unit such as 10 or 100 and every share becomes a multiple of it. Anything left below one unit is added to the first person in the list who pays.

What is the difference between shares and percentages?

Shares are relative weights like 2 : 1 : 1 and can add up to anything. Percentages must add up to exactly 100%.
