Image size: 339 × 158 px (including the blank quiet zones on both sides)
If you print it, avoid scaling it too much and test it with a real scanner.
How to use
- Choose the barcode type (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A or Code 128).
- Enter the data. For EAN/UPC, entering the digits without the check digit adds it automatically; entering all digits verifies it.
- Adjust the line width, height and text, then download a PNG or SVG.
FAQ
What is a check digit?
The last digit, calculated from the other digits with fixed weights of 3 and 1. It lets scanners detect misreads.
Should I use SVG or PNG?
SVG stays sharp at any size, which suits print and design software; PNG is handy for websites and office documents.
Can I make barcodes for products I sell?
You can create the symbol, but EAN/UPC numbers for retail products must be built from a company prefix licensed by GS1.
Notes & limitations
- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
- The tool does not issue or register numbers and cannot check whether a number is already used by a real product.
- Code 128 accepts ASCII characters only (up to 80) and does not use GS1-128 (FNC1) or extended characters (FNC4).
- Print size, resolution and paper can affect scanning. Always test with a real scanner before using a barcode.
