FAQ

Are my images uploaded?

No. Loading, displaying and saving all happen in your browser; the images never leave your device.

Can I compare images of different sizes?

Yes. The before image sets the frame, and the after image is aligned by fitting inside, filling the frame, stretching, or at actual size. When the sizes differ, the tool says so and shows both sizes.

What does the saved image contain?

Both images combined at the current divider position, with the divider line and labels drawn in. It contains no metadata such as EXIF.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • The comparison uses the frame of the before image; the after image may be scaled, so use images of the same size to compare fine details.
  • Images above the browser limit (about 16 million pixels) are scaled down when loaded.
  • The on-screen preview is scaled to at most 1,200 px on the long side; the saved image keeps the frame size.
  • Labels are drawn with the fonts installed on your device, so they may look slightly different between devices.
  • Only the first frame of animated images is compared. Formats the browser cannot open, such as HEIC/HEIF, are not supported.
