FAQ
Can I type Japanese, Chinese or Vietnamese text?
No. Changed fields are written with the standard PDF font, which covers letters, digits, symbols and some accented Latin letters only. Existing values in other scripts stay as they are if you do not change them.
What does flattening do?
It fixes the entries onto the pages and removes the fields. The form then looks the same in every PDF reader, but the values can no longer be changed.
What is an XFA form?
A different form format made with Adobe LiveCycle Designer and similar tools. This tool cannot read or write it, so it says so when it detects one.
Notes & limitations
- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
- Changed fields can only contain characters the standard PDF font (Helvetica) can write; Japanese, Chinese or Vietnamese letters cannot be entered.
- XFA forms and password-protected PDFs are not supported.
- Buttons and signature fields cannot be edited. Saving a digitally signed PDF invalidates its signatures.
- Form calculations and validation scripts (JavaScript) are not run.
