PDF Compressor (recompress and downscale images)
Shrink PDFs full of scans or photos by recompressing and downscaling their images while keeping them readable. Images that would not shrink are left as they are, and the result is verified.
- Runs in your browser (no upload)
Up to 150 MB per file
How to use
- Choose a PDF; the tool shows how many images can be recompressed.
- Pick the maximum long edge and JPEG quality, then press "Compress PDF".
- Compare the sizes and download the result if it got smaller.
FAQ
Will it always get smaller?
No. Image-heavy PDFs benefit most. PDFs with only text and drawings, or already well-compressed images, may not shrink — then you are told to keep the original.
Is text degraded?
Text and vector graphics are not touched; only embedded images are recompressed. In scanned PDFs the text is part of the image, so choose the quality carefully.

- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
