FAQ
Is any of this sent to a server?
No. Listing, exporting and deleting all happen inside this browser. YUCTS Tools has no accounts and keeps no saved data on its servers.
What happens when I delete data?
Theme and language go back to automatic, and tool lists or drafts return to their initial state. This cannot be undone, so export to JSON first if you might need it.
Can this page see other websites’ data?
No. Browsers only let this page read data belonging to tools.yucts.com, and it only lists the storage this site uses, such as keys starting with "yucts:".
Are passwords or other secrets stored?
Tools such as the password generator, strength meter and text encryption never save what you type. Only lists and settings that a tool says it saves are stored.
Notes & limitations
- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
- Unlike your browser’s "clear site data", this does not touch caches or other websites’ data.
- Sizes are estimates based on the stored text and differ from the space the browser really uses.
- There is no import: an exported JSON file cannot be loaded back.
- With private browsing or restrictive browser settings, some storage areas may not be readable.
