FAQ

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. It uses the IANA time zone data built into your browser and applies the offset in force at that moment. Times skipped when clocks spring forward are flagged and converted as the shifted time.

What if a time happens twice?

When clocks go back, the same local time occurs twice. Choose the first or the second occurrence and the conversion follows your choice.

What does "Use this device’s time zone" do?

It sets the source to the time zone your browser reports (for example America/New_York). No location data is used and nothing is sent anywhere.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • Offsets come from the time zone data built into your browser; very recent rule changes may not be included yet.
  • Dates far in the past or future may not match how time was or will actually be kept.
