FAQ
Is my original text changed?
No. The original stays as it is and the cleaned version appears in a separate box. The preview marks the changes on top of the original.
Will indentation be removed?
Not by default. It is removed only when you turn on "Remove spaces at the start of lines". Collapsing repeated spaces also leaves indentation alone.
Are tabs converted?
Tabs are kept by default so that tab-separated data pasted from a spreadsheet stays intact. You can convert them to spaces or remove them.
Notes & limitations
- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
- Works on plain text up to 200,000 characters. Formatting from word processors (bold, tables) is not kept.
- Special line separators such as U+2028 and U+2029 are not treated as line breaks and are left as they are.
- Zero-width spaces are used as word separators in some languages (such as Thai); turn that rule off for such text.
