FAQ

Does it stay accurate if the computer sleeps or the tab is in the background?

Yes. The time left is always recalculated as "target time minus current time", so any pause in updates is caught up immediately.

Can I count down to an event abroad?

Yes. Pick that place's time zone and enter the local time. Times skipped or repeated by daylight saving changes are explained and handled.

Why is there no full-screen button on iPhone?

Safari on iPhone does not support full screen for page elements (Fullscreen API), so the button is hidden. Turning the phone sideways gives a larger view.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • The countdown uses your device's clock; if that clock is off, the display is off by the same amount.
  • Full screen is only offered where the browser supports it (not Safari on iPhone).
  • Keeping the screen awake needs the Screen Wake Lock API and only applies while in full screen.
  • Settings are not saved; reloading the page restores the defaults.
