FAQ

Is my audio uploaded?

No. Loading and drawing the waveform happen in your browser.

Does it work with long recordings?

Up to about 66 minutes of stereo audio. Long files are analysed at a lower sample rate to save memory; the page tells you when that happens.

What does dBFS mean?

Loudness relative to the digital maximum (0 dBFS). Values closer to 0 are louder; above 0 the sound clips.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • Only formats this browser can decode can be opened (this depends on the browser and operating system).
  • Long files are analysed and played at a lower sample rate, so fine detail and playback quality differ from the original.
  • This shows the amplitude waveform only; it does not analyse frequencies (no spectrogram).
