Remove Audio from Video (Mute a Video)

How to use

  1. Choose or drag and drop a video file (or use “Try a sample video”).

  3. Review the verification of the saved file and the preview, then download it.

FAQ

Does the quality drop?

No. The video data is copied as is, so quality, resolution and frame rate stay the same as the original.

Is my video uploaded?

No. It is processed inside your browser and never leaves your device.

Can I mute only part of the video?

This tool removes the whole audio track. If you only need part of the clip, trim the video first.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • Reads MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and MPEG-TS (MPEG-TS is saved as MP4). AVI, WMV, FLV and similar formats cannot be read.
  • The output is assembled in memory, so files are limited to 1 GB. On phones even a few hundred MB may run out of memory.
  • Subtitle tracks and some metadata are not carried over when the output format cannot hold them.
