FAQ

How accurate is the tempo?

Clicks are scheduled slightly ahead on the browser’s audio clock (Web Audio), so the rhythm stays steady even when the page is busy.

What does BPM count in 6/8?

The note in the denominator (eighth notes). To count dotted quarter notes, enter three times that value.

Can I use it without sound?

Turn off “Play sound” and the beat is shown on screen only.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • With Bluetooth headphones and similar devices, the sound may be heard later than the on-screen beat because of device latency.
  • The on-screen beat does not update while you are on another tab; power-saving settings may stop the sound.
  • Pitch and sound are fixed (different pitches for the accent, group starts, normal beats and subdivisions).
