FAQ

Is my video uploaded?

No. Only the file’s headers are read inside your browser; nothing is sent off your device.

Why does it say this browser could not play the file?

Your browser does not support one of the codecs (for example HEVC from iPhones). The details read from the headers are still shown.

Why is the duration marked “about”?

WebM files recorded by browsers and some apps do not store their length. It is then estimated from the timestamp of the last frames.

Notes & limitations

  • What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
  • Detailed analysis supports MP4, MOV, 3GP, WebM, MKV and AVI. MPEG-TS, FLV, WMV and others are only identified.
  • Bitrate and frame rate are averages calculated from values in the file; they do not measure picture quality.
  • Playback support is checked for this browser on this device only; other devices and apps may differ.
