Fuel Cost Calculator (Trip Cost and Split)
Work out the fuel needed, the fuel cost of a trip and the share per person from the distance, fuel economy (L/100km, km/L or mpg), the fuel price and the number of people. Supports round trips and tolls.
- Runs in your browser (no upload)

FAQ
How are mpg and L/100km converted?
With the exact definitions 1 mile = 1.609344 km, 1 US gallon = 3.785411784 L and 1 imperial gallon = 4.54609 L. For example, 30 mpg (US) is about 7.84 L/100km.
Does the tool know current fuel prices?
No. Prices change by place and day, so enter the price you see at the station you plan to use. The value shown first is only an example.
Why don't the per-person shares add up exactly?
The share per person is rounded with the method you choose. The difference is shown in the result so you can agree who covers it.
