Speed, Distance and Time Calculator
Enter any two of speed, distance and time to get the third. Works with km/h, m/s, mph and knots, km, m and miles, and hours/minutes/seconds, and shows unit conversions and pace.

Unit conversions
| Speed | 80 km/h = 22.2222 m/s = 49.7097 mph = 43.1965 kn |
|---|---|
| Distance | 120 km = 120,000 m = 74.5645 mi |
| Time | 1:30:00 (1.5 hours = 90 minutes = 5,400 seconds) |
| Pace | 0:45 per km, 1:12.42 per mile |
How to use
- Under "Solve for", choose whether to calculate speed, distance or time.
- Enter the other two values and their units (time is entered as hours, minutes and seconds).
- Read the result, the conversions into every unit and the pace per km and per mile, and copy them if needed.
FAQ
What is 36 km/h in m/s?
10 m/s. One km/h is 1,000 m per 3,600 s, so 36 × 1,000 ÷ 3,600 = 10 m/s.
What happens at a speed of 0?
When solving for time, a positive distance can never be covered, so the tool shows an error instead of a result. A speed or time of 0 is fine when solving for distance.
How exact are the unit conversions?
They use the exact definitions (1 mile = 1,609.344 m, 1 nautical mile = 1,852 m and 1 knot = 1 nautical mile per hour) as fractions and divide only once before showing a value, so there is practically no rounding drift.
Notes & limitations
- What you enter is processed only on this page and is not sent to YUCTS servers.
- Speed is treated as constant (an average). Acceleration, stops and breaks are not included.
- Values are shown with up to 4 decimals (more for very small values) and seconds with up to 2 decimals.
